Thought about sharing a project I started yesterday, for the Monthly challenge "Retro Eletronics".

It's an old cassette radio player, my dad has one of these and I always loved the egg-shape and clean lines. It's definitely a classic design piece.

Modeling almost done, next step is texturing. I'm wondering about the color scheme to use, any suggestions are more than welcome!

Another quick update on this project.

All textures are done for now, changed some elements and removed others to keep it simple and colorful.

Changed from night to day so it's easier to read all the elements.

The tent is also new.

Hi all,

I decided to have a go at the CG Boost October Challenge, "Life on a boat".

The topic seems very interesting and really allows me to get creative, which is always a good change of pace.

I will go for a mid/low poly look with hand-painted textures, which is something that I really want to get better at.

Pic 1: The main idea: a diorama with a stranded boat on top a rock, clearly a wreck. But there's a fishing rod, a lamp and a tent (to be done). Is there anybody living on this "boat-island"? Is that person still there?

Here are some quick screenshots of a Mad Rhino WIP.

1) Day 1, sculpting the basic shapes in ZBrush

2) Day 2, refining shapes, adding detail and retopo. 

The sculpting phase is almost over and going into the material and texturing next.

After that´s done, it´s rigging and animation time!
